Wow – this interactive digital art exhibition, which is coming to Eureka! in Halifax, Yorkshire looks amazing!
What is it?
Eureka! The National Children’s Museum is hosting the European premiere of digiPlaySpace, a touring digital exhibition, coming all the way from the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Supported by Arts Council England, digiPlaySpace is a collection of interactive digital art showcasing 14 pieces from acclaimed international artists.
How can kids get involved?
Featuring state-of-the-art exhibitions, digiPlaySpace encourages children to get hands-on with some of the most creative uses of technology through a variety of games, installations and activities. With lots for kids to touch and control, digiPlaySpace offers a really fun and innovative way of learning and playing with new media.
Visitors will get to use digital stop motion animation to make a dance video, create music combining electronics with unusual objects, build and control their own robots and much more.
When is it on?
digiPlaySpace opens on Saturday 8 July to celebrate Eureka!’s 25th anniversary and runs until the end of the year.
How much does it cost?
Admission into the exhibition is included in the entry price to the museum or free to annual pass holders.
